This course incorporates theoretical and empirical concepts related to health beliefs, health
promotion, and risk reduction of diverse populations. Principles from the Healthy People
initiative, epidemiology, biostatistics, and cultural competence guide comparisons of groups and
inference development. Strategies and benefits of health promotion interventions are
emphasized.
