Our Course begins at the close of World War 2. World leaders meet again to discuss how to operate in an post war environment. This study note examines the Yalta Conference, the creation of the Iron Curtain and Russia's influence in Eastern Europe.

Next we look at the key ideological differences between the US and the USSR that led to a breakdown in the relationship. This mind map gives a great overview of where the opposite sides stood on a number of fundamental issues.
