Description

'What's your Vector, Victor?' In the real world, we use vectors in any number of functions, from a weather report to a quarterback's throw. Learn more about vectors with samples and equations in this course.

Module Information

Description

Vectors can be considered as geometric objects that are defined by having a magnititude and a direction. The Vector may be illustrated as a direct line segment. This course will examine positions and problems involving Vectors.

Description

A vector is a quantity that has both magnitude and direction. Examples of vectors are often given as force, velocity and displacement. Vectors can be expressed in terms of the Cartesian system. Formulaic definitions given here.

Description

A position vector may be defined as the vector of an arrow drawn to from an origin to a point. Position vectors can be used to describe the vector between two points. Position Vectors can be described using Cartesian components.

Description

This module looks at vectors when considered in problems with both one and two dimensional forces; as well as when dividing ration lines and finding the 4th corner of a parallelogram.

Description

Test your knowledge of vectors here. Revise vector quantities, magnitudes, parallelogram rule and other vector variables. Demonstrate you vector skills by completing the formulae here.
