•  The Greek Theater

• Began in the 6th century B.C  in Athens.

• It arose from the religious festivals in honor of the Greek gods.

• I went through many changes, they added a second and third act.

• The god, Dionysus was honored with a festival called: "City Dionisia" where the image of Dionysus was paraded on a boat accompanied by flute players and musicians.

• His main genres were, tragedy and comedy.

• Fifty men or young people participated in the parade.

• As time passed, the theater expanded reaching other cultures and other cities.

• Only the privileged classes could enjoy the theater.
