1. understanding what the ability of the learner is vital, making sure that the delivery of the content is at the right level will ensure the learner is able to understand and achive

    1. this can be done using bksb diagnostic testing, previous exam results, and 1-1 descusion
  2. identifying learner styles
  3. carrying out interviews with students
2. it is the teachers responsibility to ensure that there is a understanding of what is being deliverd
  1. giving appropriate informatinon, advice and guidence
  2. ensure students are on the right programe
3. knowing the boundaries within which to work
Resposibilities
1. attending promotional events to publicise the programme
2. dressing appropriately
3. following organisational policies and procedures
4. maintaining confidentiality
5. registering with the IfL
6. referring students to other people or agencies when necassery
Planning learnign
1. Roles
  1. communicating appropriately and effectively
  2. planning what will be taught and when
  3. preparing teaching and learning resources and activities
2. Resposibilities
  1. agreeing individual learning plans
  2. carrying out risk assessments
  3. creating a safe, positive and accessible learning environment
  4. having a contingency plan in place
  5. writing realistic aims
3. Facititating learning/Delivery
  1. Responsibilities
    1. acting and speaking appropriately
    2. being qualified/experienced to teach your subject
    3. completeing attendance records
    4. engaging and encouraging learning
    5. following health and safety safeguarding requierments and relevent legislation and codes of practice
    6. dealing with behavior issues as they happen
  2. Roles
    1. carrying out tutorial reviews
    2. communicating appropriately and effectively with students
    3. embedding language, literacy, numberacy and ICT
    4. teaching in an inclusive and engaging way
    5. promoting equality and valuing diversity
  3. Assessing learning
    1. Quality assurance and Evaluation
      1. Roles
        evaluating how well the programe was planned and deliverd
        improving the teaching and learning process
      2. Responsibilities
        attending meetings
        encouraging student development and progession
        encouraging ongoing feedback from students and others
        evaluating each session you thaught, along with the teaching and learning approches and materials used
        helping students achieve their full potential
        maintaing own professional development and subject curency
        standardising practice with others
        liaising with others, e.g. external verifiers and inspectors
    2. Roles
      1. assessing progress
      2. following awarding organisation and external body requierments
    3. Responsibilities
      1. asseing work within an agreed time period
      2. checking for plagarism if applicable
      3. giving feedback to students
      4. informing studnets to their right to appeal
      5. maintain confidentiality
      6. preparing realistic assessment materials
