- "However" and "whereas" go between the
points being contrasted.

- The south has a hot, dry climate whereas the north has a milder, wetter climate.
- Of comparison
Anmerkungen:
- We use discourse markers of comparison to show how things are similar.
- "Equally" and "like" usually go between
the points being compared.
Anmerkungen:
- Not all businesses are legitimate. Equally, not all customers are honest.
- Brain food, like chocolate and fish, are supposed to help your brain stary healthy.
- "Both" goes before the points
being compared.

- Both men and women have complained about the advertisement.
