- Clear any distractions/ websites that are not relevant to the topic at hand
- Distractions like Social Media
- Must be full of useful information without any excess

- Look at the syllabus beforehand to gauge general topics.
- Try to take mental notes of the
various questions in tests
- Pay attention to summaries, overviews and conclusions
- Use bullet points to get straight to the point
- Write down definitions and examples
- Write down every single step of the examples
alongside why the concepts being used work

- Remember to bold or
highlight certain
information to make
it stand out if it is
more important than
the other
information under an
idea or theme
- Cornell
- This is the framing of the Cornell Method.
- In the notes section, write your actual notes, you can even use the Outline
Method within this box
- If there were
any questions
asked by the
teacher in
reference to
the test, write
it in the cues
box
- The summary section will only be filled in after the lesson you
wrote the notes on is over.
- The summary box is just a 1 or 2 sentence summary
of the biggest themes and ideas covered
- Mindmapping
- This is the framing of the Mind-mapping Method
- Like the Outline Method, topics and themes are branched
off into notes, keywords and their definitions and smaller
ideas and themes.
- It is like a non-linear version of the Outline Method
