Personal Responsability
To produce quality products, you must feel personally responsible for the quality of the products.

Economics of Quality
It costs less to find & fix defects earlier in the process.

The longer a defect remains, the greater the cost of removing it.

Testing is an inefficient & ineffective way of removing defects.

Defect prevention is more efficient than finding & fixing them.

Code reviews are more efficient at removing defects than testing.

Product Quality
The product must perform its intended functions with reasonable consistency.

The product must provide functionality that the user needs and at the time the user needs it.

Additional concerns: Performance, safety, security, usability, compatibility.

Process Quality
The process must meet the needs of its users to produce quality products efficiently.

It must be usable, easy to learn & easy to adapt to new circumstances.
