1) What happens to a moving car when there is a resultant force?
- it accelerates

2) The acceleration of a car depends on..
- size of resultant force and the mass of the car

3) When can an object best accelerate?
- when the force is greater but mass is smaller

4) what is newtons second law of motion?
- force (N)= Mass (kg) x acceleration (m/s squared)

5) when investigation force and acceleration what must you keep the same?
- mass

6) How do you work out Acceleration (m/s squared)?
-change in velocity / time

7) cyclist accelerates from 0 to 10 m/s in 5 seconds. What is her acceleration?
(acceleration= change in velocity divided by time)
- 2m/s squared

8) is mass a scalar property?
- True

9) weight is another word for mass?
-false because mass is the amount of matter an object contains
While weight is the amount of force (N) earths gravitational force acts on it

10)on the moon the gravitational field strength is 1.6 n/kg. What will james (who weighs 70 kg on earth) weight be on the moon?
(Weight= mass x gravitation field strength)
- 112N

11) As the speed of an object increases the drag on it decreases
-false because it increases as the speed does until the air resistance is equal to the weight of the object so its reached its terminal velocity.

12) in a vacuum all objects fall at the same rate mass does not matter
- true

13) depending on the mass of the falling objects depends the rate of acceleration
- false because all masses fall at around 10m/s squared
it dosent matter what mass they are
