109 Does it happen for a flight to take place in a Danger Area?
O No, way.
O Yes, if a permission by CAA has been granted.
O Yes, if a permission by ATSU has been granted.
O Yes, it is at the discretion of the commander.
110 A Special Use Airspace area named "LGP 40", signifies:
O Prohibited Area.
O Restricted Area.
O Danger Area.
O Acrobatic Maneuvers Area.
111 What kind of Special Use Airspace area, is depicted by the characters "LGD 65"?
O Danger.
O Local Flight. (Training)
O Prohibited.
O Restricted.
112 What kind of Special Use Airspace area, is depicted by the characters "LGR 20"?
O Supersonic Flight.
113 Flying in formation:
O Is allowed when is taking place in a controlled area under permission granted by ATSU.
O Is allowed, if plan exist for separation during formation and join up or break-away has been prearranged between pilots in command.
O Is allowed if back-up parachutes are being carried.
114 On a navigation exercise you become lost. You should:
O dial 121.5 MHz and a Pan call.
O dial 121.5 MHz and a Mayday call.
O begin orbiting and wait for assistance.
O try by any means to find your way home and do not disturb ATSU.
116 Mayday repeated three times is ………………………….. signal.
O a distress
O an urgency
O a warning
O an alert
117 Pan Pan repeated three times is………………………….. signal.
118 What is the distress signal the commander must transmit with his radio?
O MAYDAY
O S.O.S.
O PAN
O HELP
119 119-Π85. The urgency signal means that the aircraft:
O Has to transmit an emergency signal that concerns the safety of a ship, another aircraft or its passengers.
O Is encountering crash landing.
O Is in a serious trouble or in danger.
O Is encountering a serious situation, but there is no need for immediate assistance.
120 If, during a day, an aircraft commander noticed that the aircraft's anti-collision light had failed, the correct course of action would be to:
O continue with daytime operations, provided the light is repaired as soon as possible.
O land as soon as possible and have the light repaired.
O since it is of minor value, complete the flight, and repair it to the nearest 50-hour maintenance program.
O have the light repaired prior to completion of the next day's 'Check List'.
121 An intercepting aircraft, wishes to signal that the aircraft being intercepted can proceed. What is the signal?
O An abrupt climbing turn through at least 90°.
O Switching the navigation and landing lights on and off at irregular intervals.
O Rocking the wings.
O Flying upside down.
122 An aircraft has been intercepted. The intercepting aircraft (Fig.21), makes an abrupt climbing turn through 90° or more, without crossing the line of flight of the intercepted aircraft. This means:
O you may proceed.
O follow me.
O turn around and fly on a reciprocal heading out of the restricted or prohibited area you have entered, RIGHT NOW.
O surrender now.
123 An intercepting aircraft, wishes to signal that the aircraft being intercepted, must follow. What is the signal?
O Rocking the wings and flashing the navigational lights at irregular intervals.
O Switching the navigation and landing lights on.
124 An aircraft has been intercepted. The intercepting aircraft (Fig.20), overflies the intercepted aircraft by rocking and flashing irregularly the navigation and landing lights. After acknowledgement it makes a slow level turn, normally to the left. It means:
O You have been intercepted. "Follow me".
O You may proceed.
O Land, right now.
O You're in distress.
125 An intercepting aircraft, wishes to signal that the aircraft being intercepted, must land at this aerodrome. What is the signal?
O Lowering the landing gear, showing steady landing lights and overflying the runway in use.
O An abrupt descending turn through at least 90°.
126 . An aircraft has been intercepted. The intercepting aircraft (Fig.22), is lowering the landing gear, showing steady landing lights and overflying the runway in use. It means:
O Land at this aerodrome.
O You are free now to return back home.
O Wait until advised.
O Aerodrome is unfit for landing.
127 The intercepted aircraft must respond to the intercepting aircraft with his intensions to comply and "Follow", by:
O Rocking his aircraft or/and flashing the navigation and landing lights irregularly.
O Flying in a steep angled manner heading.
O Flying in crab manner.
O Having the landing lights steady on and making signals with hands.
128 When being intercepted, what is the primary and more vital action you choose from the following:
O Follow the instructions given by the intercepting aircraft, interpreting and responding with visual signals.
O Acknowledge, if possible the identity, of the appropriate air traffic services unit responsible, to the area FIR.
O Attempt to establish radiocommunication by making a general call on the emergency frequency of 121.5 MHz.
O If equipped with SSR transponder, select Mode A or C, Code 7700.
129 You are unlucky enough when flying over Aegian Sea, to be intercepted by day, by a fighter aircraft that positions ahead and above of you and rocks its wings. What is …..(i)…. the meaning of the signal and…. (ii)…. your reply is ?
O (i) follow me (ii) rocking wings
O (i) follow me (ii) orbiting twice.
O (i) you may proceed (ii) lower undercarriage
O (i) land at this aerodrome (ii) switching landing lights, on and off.
130 . If the minimum vertical distance from clouds on a VFR flight, is 600 ft the flight shall be conducted:
O out of controlled airspace, lower than 3000 ft.
O in a controlled airspace, higher than 3000 ft.
O in a controlled airspace, lower than 3000 ft.
O out of controlled airspace, higher than 3000 ft.
131 Except when necessary for take-off or landing, flights over the congested areas of cities, towns or settlement or over an open-air assembly of persons, what is the lowest flight altitude for a VFR flight to be flown?
O not less than 300 m (1000 ft) above the highest obstacle within a radius of 600 m from the aircraft.
O not less than 500 m (1500 ft) above the highest obstacle within a radius of 600 m from the aircraft.
O not less than 150 m (500 ft) above the highest obstacle within a radius of 300 m from the aircraft
O to any convenient altitude within a radius of 2000 m.
132 The lowest height to be flown over a congested area, is:
O 1000 ft above the highest obstacle within a radius of 2000 ft from the aircraft.
O 1000 ft above the highest obstacle within a radius of 2000 m from the aircraft.
O 1500 ft above the highest obstacle within a radius of 2000 ft from the aircraft.
O 1000 ft generally.
133 The lowest height to fly above the surface of the sea, is:
O 500 ft.
O 1000 ft.
O 1500 ft.
O clear of clouds and in sight of water.
134 Visibility minima on a VFR flight in a controlled airspace, above 3000 ft, is:
