Principal classroom activity in the teaching of English structure will be the oral practice of structures.

Explanation is discouraged, and the learner is expected to deduce the meaning of a particular structure or vocabulary
Objectives
to teach a practical command of the four basic skills of language
-Pronunciation
-Grammar
- Errors are to be avoided
-Automatic control of basic structures and sentence patterns
The Syllabus
Sentences and vocabulary is chosen according to how well it enables sentence patterns to be taught.
-Include as many structural words as possible
- content words which provide useful material
Learner Roles
-At the biginning just listen and repeat it
-Questions and commands
-Incorrect habits are avoided

- Required to be a skillful manipulator
- Deal with te time, oral practice, revision, adjust special needs , testing, develop language
