Natural resources and wealth.- We know by this name the material elements that Nature spontaneously provides us. That is, without the intervention of the hand of man. Natural resources are used by man and serve to meet the needs of the population
RENEWABLE NATURAL RESOURCES.- are those that, with proper care, can be maintained and even increased. The main renewable resources are plants and animals. In turn, plants and animals depend for their subsistence on other renewable resources, such as water and soil.
THE NON-RENEWABLE NATURAL RESOURCES.- are those that exist in certain quantities and being over-exploited they can end. Oil, for example, took millions of years to form deep in the earth, and once used it can no longer be recovered. If oil continues to be extracted from underground at the current rate, there is a risk that it will end in some years
NATURAL RESOURCES OF THE COAST Mineral resources.- Among these coastal mineral resources, the following stand out for their importance: Soils.- Soil is considered one of the most important natural resources, hence the need to maintain its productivity, so that through it and proper agricultural practices a balance is established between food production and the rapid increase in demographic index.
NATURAL RESOURCES ACCORDING TO THEIR ORIGIN. Animal Resources.- They are made up of the species of our wildlife such as taruca, deer, vicuña, fish from the sea, shrimp from coastal rivers, etc. Vegetable resources.- They are made up of wild vegetation that is offered spontaneously, such as natural pastures of the Andean region, the forests of our region, or the vegetation of the coastal hills. Mineral resources.- They are the most abundant, made up of all the metallic minerals that form veins or veins in the subsoil, such as lead, gold, zinc, etc., and non-metallic minerals such as oil, coal and construction materials.
