Two types:˙ smooth & rough

Digests molecules, old organelles, & foreign substances

Packages proteins so they can be transported elsewhere in the cell.

Responsible for digestion inside of the cell

Fibers that hold cell organelles in place

Maintains cell shape and size

Has two parts:˙ microfilaments & microtubules

The fluid where organelles sit (mostly water)

Outer layer of cell that holds it together˙

Allows molecules to pass in & out

Lipid Bilayer

Hair like organelles that extend form the surface of the cell-assist with movement

Rigid covering that surrounds, protects and supports cell membrane

Store water, enzymes, metabolic waste & other materials

Stores food & pigments

Type of plastid that transfers energy from light to organic compounds˙
