This poem was written in the year 1970. ginsberg was one of the first people to report on the CIA involvement in international drug trafficking. He kept an upbeat, and light attitude in the face of CIA's harmful, greedy, short sighted actions, but eventually, he was proved right, and New York Times issued him an unconditional apology for doubting the validity of his report.
