What are rules and laws - Everyone adheres to the law which are supposed to be known and impartial
What is political Equality - Everyone has the same rights to vote and run for offices
What are common good - Citizens should work towards a common good
What are a personal freedom - Enjoy personal freedom

Elements of democracy What are some elements of democracy - Human dignity, political freedoms, being informed, respect

What is human dignity - Citizens should uphold the dignity of all people
What are political freedoms - Speak freely, run for offices, vote without intimidation
What is being informed or involved - participate on issues that affect the community
What is respect - citizens should respect the rights of others

What are civil rights - Includes the rights of individual freedoms. (freedom of speech, though, and religion)
What is minority rights - The rights of those not represented in the majority must be protected.
What is collaborative decision making - A process by which everyone in the group must agree before a decision is made.
What is power - The ability of an individual or group to get what it wants.
What is a civil society - Volunteer organizations of citizens that work to make a different on an important public issues.
What is discrimination - The unfavorable treatment of an individual based on race, sex, appearance, income etc.
What is society - A community of people who share basic need and wants.
What is democratic D.M - A process by which a group decision is made by a majority role.
What is inequalities - Difference in our society where some people have more resource that others.
Who is Thomas Hobbles - And English philosopher who is know for his political standards of the fact that human beings can live together in peace and avoid the danger and fear of civil conflict.
Who is Jean Jacques Rousseau? - He believed that the natural goodness of man was inside society. His ideas influenced the French Revolution. He also contradicts Jean Thomas Hobble's statement about people being born with such gratitude.

Questions:
1) I am an informed citizen because of my understanding towards the government structured and processes of description. An active citizen because of my citizens participation and community involvement that involves inquiry and research skills. A global citizen because of my understanding towards how the world is becoming interconnected. A good citizen because of my beliefs and values underlying democratic citizenship

2) A good use of power is interconnecting each individual's opinion to one central table and using democratic D.M. or consensual D.M. Some case would be a couch asking his team to give suggestions or to vote about their strategy of attack on the field.
A a bad use of power is when the government of Syria takes fire on a helicopter to 1000 of civilian protesters.

5) 2 characteristics of democracy is to have a voice in the decision making process and that leader's power aren't abused, and that decisions are made by the majority in which individuals decide freely and live in freedom in their area.
