A 45 year old man with a history of schizophrenia compliant with antipsychotics presents to the ED for an evaluation for a bump on his right cheek. Patient recently returned from a trip to sub saharan Africa. Patient woke up one morning with a itching bump on his face increasing in size that has been self expressing a reddish fluid. Patient is very concerned because he feels like there’s something moving in his face. Patient denies fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, cough, chest pain, abdominal pain, myalgias, or other rash. Vitals: Temp 98 F BP 130/70 HR 63 RR 12 02 100% on RA.
