Risk Assesment
BATHTUB:
The use of the bathtub presented the danger of having someone in the cold water at low temperatures. Also it would have not been very healthy to do because of the water being dirty and this could have lead to serious problems.
BATHTUB CONTINUED:
Another risk of having a girl in the bathtub is that she will be under the water for a while. Obviously this runs the risk of drowning and we will need to be very careful with the amount of time we take to film each shot, this may mean many takes.
FIREPIT:
Using a fire pit to burn photographs could be a little bit dangerous. As long as the risks such as burning yourself when lighting the paper, are carefully avoided then it should be safe enough to use.
There are other small risks such as hurting yourself on fallen branches of trees, and being careful when using the filming equipment outside. These should not be too dangerous and can be very easily avoided.
After running this risk assessment, we decided that it was not safe to use the idea of the girl in the water in the bath. This is because of the low temperatures outside and the low temperatures of the water, this would not have been safe or fair to put the actress in this situation.
Because of these reasons, we have decided to change the opening to our movie, but only slightly. We will no longer feature the girl inside the bathtub and instead we will have her in other shots.
