HOMEWORK UNIT 01 – PART A

– Can you close the store now? I’m tired.

– Sorry, but I promise to stay here while Thomas is at the market.

– Just make sure to turn off the lights when you leave.

– I stay in my bedroom, in silence.

– But doesn’t anybody go in there?

– Apparently she’s sleeping.

– The curtains of her bedroom are drawn and the door is closed.

– I’m going to clean the garage this afternoon.

– Did you make sure the door is closed?

– Because I know you’re forgetful.

– Hi, Jude. Come in. No, thanks. I need to go back to work.

– Once in a while I can’t sleep because of the noise here.

– We’re going to be silent at night.

– We need to buy a doorbell.

– I know. Sometimes we don’t hear when people knock on the door.

– But my salary isn’t going to be very good this month.

– And we need new curtains too.

– Can I go into your bedroom to get a towel?

– Of course, just enter in silence.

– And please, don’t turn on the lights
