Resumen del Recurso

Página 1

Transcription comes before translation!

Enzymes then unzip the DNA and copies the pairs to create mRNA

The mRNA then leaves the nucleus (After swapping the T for C base)

The mRNA then attaches to a ribosome which is made of rRNA

TRANSLATION...

tRNA then arrives carrying amino acids

The tRNA are looking for matching pairs of the mRNA

After having found a matching pair they release an amino acid

After the amino acids join up, they are held by peptide bonds

This string of amino acids is called a polypeptide

When matching the pairs, it looks at the three pairs (On the mRNA) called a codon
