Past simple

We use the Past Simple to talk about finished things that happened in the past. Affirmative:  Regular: I played football. Irregular: I drank water. Negative:  I didn't read the book yesterday. I didn't go to the cinema Interrogative: Did you like the hamburger? Did she run in the park? For sentences in the past, we can normally see words like: yesterday, last month, last year, two days ago, three days ago, etc...
