What was not happening in politics in this period and what were the results of this? Voting was not polarised, therefore more support for the parties that supported the Weimar Republic and less support for extremist parties.
May 1924 and May 1928 how many seats did the Social Democrats and Nazis have? Social Democrats: 100>153 (rise) Nazis: 32>12 (fall)
Which key personalities led to political stability? Gustav Stresemann and Paul von Hindenburg.
Why was Stresemann favoured? His success abroad for Germany made him the most popular political leader in the Weimar Government.
Why was Hindenburg favoured? Had been one of Germany's war leaders between 1914-18. 1925 elected President.
