Standard: ELACC2W1: Write opinion piece in which they introduce the topic or book they are writing about, state and opinion, supply reasons that support the opinion, using linking words (e.g., because, and also) to connect opinion and reasons, and provide a concluding statement or section.

Short description of activity: With assistance from the teacher, students will individually write a storyboard and then use Storybird to create a digital story that states an opinion about their favorite season (fall, winter, spring or summer), supplies reasons that support their opinion, use linking words (because, and, and also) to connect opinion and reasons, and provide a concluding statement or section with 90 % accuracy.
