          1. The Parthenon, dedicated to the Goddess Athena, is an example of the Doric columns.

            1. The Romans used brick and concrete to construct their temples.
            2. Columns
              1. Roman architecture preferred the Corinthian column.
                1. The Pantheon, a former Roman temple, is an example of the Corinthian column.
            3. a building devoted to the worship, or regarded as the dwelling place, of a god or gods or other objects of religious reverence.
              1. Greek and Roman architecture have long been connected due to the similarities between the temples and other structures. Rome architecture was highly influenced in Greece but the Romans also diverged to create a separate identity.
