  • Christianity is based on the teaching of Jesus and the life of Jesus.
  1. Judaism

    Nota:

    • Judaism is the religion of the Jewish people and is one of the world's most influential religious traditions.
    1. Origin

      Nota:

      • Are recorded in its most sacred text, the Torah. Judaism originated nearly 4000 years ago, and rooted in the ancient near Canaan.
      1. Torah

        Nota:

        • The torah contains written records and teachings of the Jews, and hundreds of commandments that direct moral and religious conduct. The word means teachings.
        1. Ten Commandments

          Nota:

          • Ten law and teaching said to have been given to Moses by God. Some of the commandments listed the Israelites' duties to God. Other commandments laid down basic moral teachings.

          1. Moses

            Nota:

            • The greatest leader of the Israelites was Moses. He led his people out  to slavery in Egypt. God gave Moses ten important commandments, which became the basis of Judaism.

              Nota:

              • Moses led the Israelites from Egyptian slavery to freedom. The exodus became a central event in the history of the Jewish people.

                • Egypt let the Jews become slavery.

                Nota:

                • King David established Jerusalem as a holy city.

                  Nota:

                  • The father of Jews. Abraham introduced this belief to the Israelites, ancestors of the Jews. God spoke to Abraham to move his family from Mesopotamia to Canaan, land to Israel. His descendants became known as the Jewish people.

                    • Isaac is the son of Abraham

                    Nota:

                    • King Solomon built the great first temple of Jerusalem.

                      Nota:

                      • Jesus is a man who lived from about 6 B.C.E to about 300 C.E He created christianity and he teach his disciple.

                        Nota:

                        • Jesus have twelve disciples, the disciples were all poor peoples. Jesus use parables to teach them life lessons.
                        1. Missionary

                          Nota:

                          • Missionary spread the religion to other places.
                          1. Paul

                            Nota:

                            • Paul is the first missionary in christianity and he spread christianity to different places and different religion.
                        2. Parable

                          Nota:

                          • Parable is story that can teach people something.
                            1. Gospels

                              Nota:

                              • A gospel is a written account of the career and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.
                              1. Resurrection

                                Nota:

                                • After Jesus died he reborn and have a new body and a new life.

                                    Nota:

                                    • The Romans kill Jesus because they can't control christianity.
                                    1. Constantine

                                      Nota:

                                      • Constantine was the Roman emperor that make christianity not illegal.

                                          Nota:

                                          • After the edict of Milan, Christianity become the religion of Rome.

                                          Nota:

                                          • The Christianity have conflict between Romans and the christianity. They have conflict because the christianity believe in Roman gods. There were conflict between Judaism and Christianity too, Christianity believe that if you believe in Jesus you can go to heaven but Judaism believe that if you follow to rules you can go to heaven.

                                            Nota:

                                            • Christianity believe Jesus was the messiah but Jews don't think Jesus was the messiah.

                                            Nota:

                                            • Judea was the birth place of Christianity. Judea was in middle east.
