Teaching writing to young learners

What is writing?
1. It is a combination of process and product
  1. The process refers to the act of gathering ideas and working with them with the purpose of being polished and comprehended by the readers
Depending upon their development,learners may find it frustrating to try to physically form letters
1. Background to the teaching of writing
2. As a teacher,you have the task to teach them how to print letters,write words and capture their ideas to put on paper
The development of writing skills
1. Process writing: Helps native English- speaking children as well as EFL or ESL young learners develop english language writing skills.
  1. The process writing approach involves the process-steps to produce a good quality final piece of writing
    1. 1- Thinking what is going to be written 2- Collecting ideas 3-The final step is to publish.
Clasroom techniques and activities
1. Writing models: Good writers are readers.Encourge your children to read what they like and vocabulary will be vast
  1. Group writing: Children can be collaboratelly on a writing project, but it need to be carefully organizedon the part of the teacher
