Resumen del Recurso

Newton's Laws of Motion
  1. 1st Law
    1. "Every object persists in its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed in it."
      1. If there is no net force acting on an object, if the forces cancel each other out, then the object will maintain a constant velocity. If that velocity is 0, then the object remains at rest. If an external force is applied, the velocity will change because of that force.
        1. This is also the definition of inertia.
        2. 2nd Law
          1. "Force is equal to the change in momentum per change is time. For a constant mass, force equals mass times acceleration."
            1. For an object with a constant mass 'm', the force 'F' is the product of an object's mass and its acceleration 'a'. F=m*a
            2. 3rd Law
              1. "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."
                1. If object A exerts a force on object B, then object B also exerts an equal opposite force on object A.
