Computer misuse act
1. The computer misuse act 1990 was introduced to stop hacking and cuber crime.
2. Gaining unauthorised access to a private network or device.
3. Gaining unauthorised access to a network or device in order to commit a crime.
4. unauthorised modification of computer material.
Copyright designs and patents act
1. The copyright, Designs and patents act 1988 was introduced to protect intellectual property
2. copyright covers written or recorded content, e.g. books, music, films, software, video games.
Data protection act
1. The data protection act 1998 gives rights to data subjects (people whose personal data is stored on computer system. The act has eight principles.
Creative commons
1. Allow you to legally share media and software online without having to ask for permission first.
2. Attribution
  1. Work can be shared, copied or modified, but the copyright holder has to be credited.
3. Share-alike
  1. Modified works can only be distributed with the same licence terms as the original.
4. Non-commercial
  1. Nobody can use the copyrighted work for profit.
5. No derivative works
  1. The work can be distributed, but can't be modified or built upon.
