  1. Reviwing the techniques
    1. Translation of a literary passage

      Nota:

      • Students should not translate idioms the like literally
      1. Reading comprenhension questions

        Nota:

        • Questions about the contained of the passage students will be able to undestand about passage 
        1. Antonyms (synonyms)

          Nota:

          • Students found synonyms for a particular set of words 
          1. Cognates

            Nota:

            • Recognize cognates by learning the spealling or sound patterns that correspond between the languages
            1. Deductive applications of rule

              Nota:

              • Once students undertand a rule, they are asked to apply 
              1. Fill in the blanks

                Nota:

                • students are given a series of sentences with words missing 
                1. Memorization

                  Nota:

                                • The class is high intermediate level English  University in colombia  42 students in the class  2 hour classes  3 times a week 
                                1. Experience
                                  1. Reading a passage in their texbook. The titled of the passage "the boys ambition" from Mark Twains life in mississipi. Students ask phrases or words that they don´t understand and teacher translate the word or phrases in the moment
                                    1. Teacher resolve the doubts about parts in the reading
                                      1. Teacher gives instruction for the next activities
                                        1. When students finish with execise the teacher reminds them that English words that look like spanish words are called "cognates"
                                          1. In a class students made a translation of the reading passage into spanish using phrasal verbs

                                            • Students´s study of the foreign culture is limited to its literature sand fine arts
