Effects of bullying on individuals and organisations
  1. Individuals
    1. Feelings of victimisation
      1. self doubt about abilities
        1. sense of injustice
          1. being bullied at work can result in having bad effects on health, both mentally and physically. These could include:
            1. Anxiety
              1. headaches
                1. nausea
                  1. insomnia
                    1. ulcers
                      1. high blood pressure
                        1. depression
                        2. self doubting will result in not doing work to the highest of your ability
                          1. When work is not completed to the best of you ability, it will not only affect the employers opinion on your working standards, but also you own mind, and how it may go from thinking "this place is suited well for me" to "I can't cope with this work anymore", resulting in work being quickly and messily done, or not completed. If it were the empoyer bullyinh you in the first place which resulted in self doubt, and then work not being completed, it will result in the employer having an 'excuse' to bully you even more, further increasing your lack of drive to complete work as expected. Your morale will decrease and could result in you wanting to avoid work altogether.
                        3. Being bullied can make you feel very angry, humiliated and frustrated
                          1. fear of losing your job, complaining (because it will increase the bullying), and generally being afraid to go to work
                            1. Being afraid to go to work because of bullying will result in you eventually not turning up for work. This could lead to personal money issues, resulting in you not being able to pay essential bills at home. If you run into trouble with your own money, it can leave you feeling stressed and could result in more serious issues, including high blood pressure, anxiety and depression. These mental illnesses can cause you to become more lethargic and negative, meaning it could be unlikely you will want to return to work.
                          2. Organisations
                            1. Range
                              1. low staff morale
                                1. Low staff morale will give a negative appearance to the business; if the employees aren't happy, it will show. If the customers of the company can see that they aren't being served with the happiness and positivity that they expect, they won't be pleased with the service. If the majority of customers are not satisfied with the service they have recived, it is going be less likely for them to return, perhaps resulting in less income for the business over time.
                                2. High staff turnover
                                  1. A high staff turnover will mean that the company or organisation will have to hire new staff over and over again, because they will keep losing current staff. Having to continually rehire will mean spending increasing amounts of the business' money, meaning they won't have as much money as they should to spend on more important things, such as new advertising or products.
                                  2. Increased sickness absence
                                    1. low productivity
                                      1. could result in legal costs
