William Shakespeare Theater

Theater was very different today from what it use to be. the audience were loud and expressed there views more frequently
Individual character were booed or cheered and bad performance had the crowd hissing and shouting in disapproval
Eating and drinking during the play was popular and people sold oranges,apples and nuts . Beer and tobacco was also avaliable
Plays started at 2 o clock in winter and 3 o clock in the summer
plays lasted between 2 to 4 hours
the plays were acted straight throught with no obvious breaks and no interval between acts
It was illegal for women to act in plays so the parts of women were played by boys and young men
