In most cases, we add "ing" to the main verb.
1. When the verb has one syllable and the three least letters are CVC
  1. (consonant + vowel + consonant0, we double the last consonant before adding "ing".
    1. When the verb ends is 'y', we keep the letter 'y' and add 'ing'.
      1. When the verb ends in 'e' we, we usually
        remove the letter 'e' and add 'ing'
