Diffusion- movement of molecules of a substance from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration along a concentration gradient through a selectively permeable membrane until evenly spread
1. Osmosis- movement of water molecules from an are of high water concentration(HYPOTONIC) to an area of low water concentration(HYPERTONIC) along a concentration through a selectively permeable membrane until evenly spread.(ISOTONIC)

  3. uses CARRIER PROTEIN to 'carry' ions across cell membrane
    1. glucose- more glucose more respiration
      1. oxygen- more oxygen more respiration
  4. warmer-enzymes work faster
    1. optimum 35-40C
    2. too hot it stops and the enzymes denature.
      1. carrier also loses its shape.
