Islamic Attitude to War

5. If Muslims die in a just war then they go straight to Heaven
Religious conflict
1. Children no longer want to be a part of their parent's religion
  1. Worry their children will not be with them in the after life, or will become immoral
2. Children want to marry outside of their faith
  1. Which religion will their children be raised in? Where will the couple be buried?
3. Children become more religious than their parents
  1. May become a priest so the family will have no grandchildren
  2. Child might criticise the life of a parent
4. Disagreements over moral issues

Forgiveness and Reconciliation
1. Jesus dies to bring about forgiveness of man's sins and to reconcile humans with God
  1. God forgives those who ask, and so should we.
    1. St Paul said Christians should try to live in peace with one another
      1. All churches teach Christians to follow these ideas
        "And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who trespass against us"
2. God is compassionate to sinners, so muslims should be too
  1. Quran tells muslims to forgive
    1. Hadith shows Muhammad forgiving people and reconciling after battles
      1. Muslims can only ask for forgiveness if they have been forgiving on Earth
        Muslims should not forgive those that work against Islam
