Resumen del Recurso

Frank Churchill & Jane Fairfax
  1. Box Hill
    1. P.301 - Frank : "...whenever I marry, I hope somebody will choose my wife for me. Will you? (turning to Emma)"
      1. Ironic as Emma's matchmaking skills are completely irrational
        1. Emma would never think of Jane as a match due to her delusion and ego
          1. Emma immediately thinks of Harriet as a match 'hazel eyes excepted' suggesting Austen likely critical tone
        2. Piano Scene
          1. P.171 - "...Jane Fairfax, who plays so delightfully" "...is a mistress of music..."
            1. P.175 - "...till he could find a seat by her (Emma) would not sit at all." Emma is so blinded by her ego that she still believes Frank is attracted to her
              1. "...she saw Frank Churchill looking intently across the room at Miss Fairfax..." Here Austen is indicating to the reader about Frnk & Jane but Emma still refuses to believe it
                1. P.180 "...Miss Fairfax, whose performance, both vocal and instrumental...was infinitely superior to her own." This suggests a step away from Emma's immaturity and indicates a step forward in her journey to self realisation
