  1. COMPARATIVE
    1. Used when comparing two things.
      1. The two basic ways to compare are using: AS or THAN.
        1. EXAMPLES
          1. She´s twice as old as her sister. Russian is not quite as difficult as chinese. Our car is bigger than your car.
            1. Syllable adjectives: add- ER to the adjective
              1. EXAMPLE
                1. Tall - Taller Neat - Neater
                  1. Syllable adjectives : ending in - y change the y to IER
                    1. EXAMPLE
                      1. Happy - Happier Easy - Easier
                        1. Other 2-syllable adjective: use MORE with the unchanged adjective
                          1. EXAMPLE
                            1. The shops are always more crowded just before christmas
                              1. Adjectives with 3 or more syllables: use MORE with the unchanged adjective
                                1. EXAMPLE
                                  1. Russian gramar is more difficult tan English grammar
    2. SUPERLATIVE
      1. Talk about one thing only and how it is the best , worst...etc. You do not compare two things. The following guidelines apply to the superlative
        1. Syllable adjectives: add - EST to the adjective (plus the)
          1. EXAMPLE
            1. Cold - Coldest Deep - Deepest
              1. If the Word ends: consonant-vowel-consonant, then the last consonant is usally doubled in the superlative
                1. EXAMPLE
                  1. Big- Biggest Fat- Fattest
                    1. Syllable adjectives ending in Y : change y to IEST (PLUS THE)
                      1. EXAMPLE
                        1. Lucky - Luckiest
                          1. Do not confuse adjectives and adverbs
                            1. Other 2- syllables adjectives: use THE MOST with the unchanged adjective
                              1. EXAMPLE
                                1. Albert Einstein was the most intelligent person in history
