| Lit Terms: Define Foreshadowing. | When a writer gives an advance hint of what is to come later in the story. Ex: In John Steinbeck's the novel Of Mice and Men, George killing Candy's dog and later George killing Lennie in the head. |
| Lit Terms: Define Hyperbole. | This is an exaggeration that is not taken literally. Ex: I will go blind without my glasses! |
| Lit Terms: What is Imagery? | Imagery is an expression that represent objects, actions, or ideas that appeal to our physical senses. Ex: It was "dark" and "dim" in the forest. Dark and dim are visual images. |
