Step 1. Std. sol KMnO4 added to burette
Step 2. Pipette measured volume of solution being analysed to conical flask with an excess of dilute H2SO4 to provide H+ for reduction of MnO4-
Step 3. During titration MnO4- solution reacts and is decolourised as it's added.
What's the endpoint? The first permanent pink colour, indicating an excess of MnO4-
Step 5. Repeat titration until you get two concordant titres w/in 0.10+- cm3 of each other.
