Matter - Is the material that make up everything in the universe - * We define matter as anything that has mass and takes up space.
Atom - The fundamental unit of matter - The smallest unit of matter that cannot be broken down without losing its characteristics
Scientific Method - A general approach used for scientific experimentation worldwide - Starts with observation - Create a Hypothesis - Conduct an experiment (multiple times) - Collect all of the data - Use the above to create a theory
Peer Review Process It's a series of checks and balances that are designed to determine if the scientific experiments have been set up correctly and if the scientists have interpreted their data correctly.
Hypothesis - An initial best guess about your observation; which can be tested by an experiment
Theory - A detailed explanation of the experimental results
