Verb+infinitive or -ing form but different meanings I tried giving up chocolate= It was no problem stop eating it I tried to give up chocolate=Couldn´t stop eating.	I stopped eating lunch= stop eating. I stopped to lunch=stop doing something to eat.
He remembered sending a card=he remebers sending the card. He remembered to send the card=he remembered he needs to send the card.	Come on, go on doing the tree house Come on,go on to do the tree house Go on doing something,you continue doing it Go on to do something, you move from one action to another.
See, watch, hear, feel, etc can be used with object + -ing form to talk about an action that is in progress: He saw them crossing the street=they were crossing the street when he saw them	See, watch, hear, feel, etc + object + infinitive without TO to talk about an action that is complete: He saw them cross the street=He watched them cross the street.
