what does the Darker color blend mode do? Works on all the channels instead of on a per channel basis. When you blend to layers together only the darker pixels on the blend layer remain visible.
What does Soft light blend mode do? Darkens or lights the colors depending on the base color. Light produces a more gentle effect than the overlay mode.
