what is an abiotic factor? a non-living factpr such as rain and temperature
what is a biotic factor? a living factor such as competition and predation
what is a biosphere? the life supporting layer of land, air and water that surrounds the earth.
what are the two major processes in an ecpsystem? the flow of energy through an ecosystem the cycling of elements within the system
define population a group of interbreeding organisms of one species in a habit.
what is a community? all the populations of different organisms living and interacting in a particular place at the same time.
what is a habitat? the place where the community of organisms live
what is a microhabitat? the smaller units within a habitat, each with its own microclimate.
what is a niche? where an organism live and what it does there. no two species occupy the same niche.
