Desquamation meaning? Called exfoliation, the removal of dead skin cells from the epidermis using techniques that may include loofah scrub, dry brushing, salt glow, enzyme masks or abrasive scrubs
Hypo-allergenic products meaning? If the client has sensitive or allergic skin you should use this type of product which contains no perfume with fewer pigments and preservatives
Comedogenic meaning? Any product which may cause blackheads, block pores or aggravate acne
Milia meaning? Tiny white or yellowish lumps which sit just under the skin's surface. They are made up of sebum from the sebaceous gland which is blocked by the cells covering the mouth of the follicle
Papules meaning? Small solid round lumps rising from the skin. May be caused by infection, inflammation or abrasions
