What are two important care-giver interactions? Reciprocity and international synchrony
What is meant by reciprocity? Mother-infant interation is reciprocal in that both infant and mothers respond to each other's signals
What is interactional synchrony? Mother and infant reflect action and emotions in a co-ordinated way
What is a limitation of observing infants? It is difficult to be certain what the babies are doing because movements can be subtle.
What is a strength of Observing infants? The observations tend to be well-controlled procedures and the babies will not be affected by demand characteristics.
What is another limitation of Observing infants? observing synchrony and reciprocity does not tell us what it's purpose is.
