Hermann Goring Conrolled the Four Year Plan. Its aim was to prepare Germany for war in 4 years.
Dr Hjalmar Schacht Was the Minister of the Economy- he brought in a plan in 1933 to: -reduce unemployment -make Germany self-sufficient (autarky)
Dietrich Bonhoeffer A Church leader who helped Niemoller find the Confessional Church. Spoke out against the Nuremburg Laws and n 1937 Gestapo banned him from preaching. In 1939 he joined tha Abwehr and plotted to overthrow Hitler. Executed by the SS in April 1945.
Count Von Stauffenburg The Stauffenburg plot. General Ludwig Beck supported his plans to assassinate Hitler.
Christoph Probst The Scholl's teacher who helped set up the White Rose Group.
Hans and Sophie Scholl Munich university students who set up the White Rose Group with their teacher. They were caught giving ut leaflets and were beheaded
Pastor Martin Niemoller Led the confessional church which was against the Reich Church- ended up being arrested by the Nazis
Ludwig Muller Leader of the Nazi Church (Reich Church) taught the idea of Christianity and the Nazis.
Heinrich Himmler Gestapo- secret police- was part of the SS which he ran.
Ernst Rohm Leader of the SA. Hitler feared him and his 2-3 million strong SA
Marinus Van Der Lubbe Dutch Communist blamed for setting fire to the Reichstag
President Paul Von Hindenburg A field Marshall in WW1. He was President from 1925 until 1934. It was his job to appoint Chancellors. He chose Bruning, Von Papen and Von Svhleicher between 1930 and 1932. He disliked Hitler and didnt trust him. Hindenburg did not want many Nazis appointed to the government and Von Papen convinced him that they could control Hitler better if they could control Hitler better if he was Chancellor.
Kaiser Wilhelm II Ruled Germany but lost WW1
Freidrich Ebert Leader of Social Democrats. Became the head of the government after Kaiser Wilhelm II
Rosa Luxemburg + Karl Liebknecht They led the group the Spartacists who were a group of Communists.
Franz Von Papen In 1932 Bruning was replaced by him and was even mor unpopular and in November another election was held and he was replaced by Schleicher.
Dr Wolfgang Kapp Him and Free Corps led the armed rising against the government called The Kapp Putsch
Gustav Stresemann Became Chancellor for 100 days in 1923. He called off Passive Resistance and replaced the old worthless currency with the Rentenmark. French agreed to leave the Ruhr and hyperinflation stopped. Was the German foreign Minister 1924-29

Heinrich Bruning Was Chancellor and used the President to help him pass laws without the Reichstag.
General Ludendorff Was a well-known war hero. Him and Hitler stormed into a Munich Beer hall and took teh Bavaria state leader hostage
Joseph Goebbels Began to organise propaganda and used posters skillfully.
General Von Schleicher Senior army officer. Advised Hindenburg to get rid of Bruning in May 1932. In December 1932 he became Chancellor advising Hindenburg that Von Papen would start a Civil War. Resigned in January 1933 after failing to get support from the Reichstag
