Alka Seltzer Class & Action NSAID, ANTACID Pre-0p to neutralize stomach acid. Blocks the action of cyclo-oxygenase that is involved in the production of prostaglandins in response to injury and cause pain, swelling and inflammation
Alka Seltzer Side Effects & LR/PR SE: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or abdominal pain stomach or duodenal ulcer, • bleeding from the stomach or intestine, • changes in liver function, • allergic reactions such as skin rash, angioedema or bronchospasm LR/PR: L3/C Contains Bicarbonate (Na/K), Aspirin, Citric Acid. Sodium hydrogen carbonate and citric acid form antacids by their effervescent reaction with water. Not to be used while breastfeeding or in children and adolescents under 16 years of age, unless on the advice of a doctor.
