What can population growth be linked to? How developed a country is
Give one example of a development in a country that can affect the population growth. When healthcare improves, it leads to a drop in the number of deaths and a faster population growth
Why are the poorer countries in the earlier stages of the DTM modal, and richer ones further ahead? Because their population growth rate is high because birth rates are high and death rates are beginning to fall
Why are richer countries usually in stages 4-5 in the DTM modal? They usually have low or negative population growth because both birth and death rates are low
On a population pyramid, what does a broad pyramid show? A healthy population
What does a narrowing pyramid show on a population pyramid? A lot of people are dying at a younger age
