What happened at the Geneva conference between Gorbachev and Reagan? They got on well and planned more meetings
What happened at the Reykjavik conference? Both leaders said they would cut down the number of nuclear weapons they had. Gorbachev wanted an end to SDI but Reagan didn't agree
What was the INF treaty? A treaty to get rid of all Intermediate-range missiles each superpower had. It was better than SALT 1
When was the INF treaty signed? December 1987
What was perestroika? A new way of doing things
What was glasnost? More freedom for people to say what they really thought
