Question Answer
Hydroelectric energy - what is it? Hydroelectricity comes from rain water collected in a reservoir or a pumped storage scheme flowing down hill. The flowing water turns generators at the bottom of the hill.
Advantages → renewable - wont run out → no waste gases
disadvantages → habitats are often flooded to create dams →the large reservoirs can affect wildlife → not reliable if there's a drought
