Los lípidos son mucho más energéticos que los glúcidos, es
decir, liberan más E. Se utilizan cuando los glúcidos se han
agotado, o cuando se necesita mucha E.
Fases:
1) Degradación de triacilglicéridos en el citosol.
Actuan las lipasas, obteniendo glicerina y ac.
grasos
2) La glicerina se convierte en G3P e ingresa en la ruta de la glucolisis.
Los ac. grasos pasan a la matriz mitocondrial a través de la lanzadera
carnitina, y se unen a la CoA produciendo Acil CoA.
3) β-Oxidación de los ác. grasos en la matriz mitocondrial. En cada
vuelta de este proceso se rompe el enlace que une Cβ y Cα, liberándese
1 Acetil CoA(pasa al Ciclo de Krebs) 1NADH, 1FADH2( que pasan a la
cadena respiratoria). En cada ciclo se generan 17 ATP.
