NATURAL FIBRES
1. COTTON
  1. Absorbent, durable and easy to wash/dye
  2. Creases easily, shrinks easily and dries slowly
2. WOOL
  1. Warm, absorbent and crease-resistant
  2. can shrink when washed, itchy and dries slowly
3. SILK
  1. Nice drape, smooth, low flammability
  2. Expensive, creases easily and water/perspiration stains
4. LINEN
  1. Cooling, absorbent and hard-wearing
  2. Creases badly, expensive, weak when wet
REGENERATED FIBRES
1. VISCOSE
  1. Expensive and delicate (low temp wash)
  2. Cool/comfortable, nice drape
SYNTHETIC FIBRES
1. POLYESTER
  1. Strong and crease-resistant
  2. Not absorbent, flammable/melts and not biodegradable
2. NYLON
  1. Cheap, water-resistant and strong
  2. Not biodegradable and not cooling as it doesn't allow passage of sweat
3. ACRYLIC
  1. Crease-resistant, doesn't shrink and is cheap alternative to wool
  2. Not very absorbent, flammable and affected by static
4. Elastane
  1. Not absorbent or biodegradable, lightweight and strong
